These heinous crimes remind us of the urgent need to protect the most vulnerable members of our society. Persons with disabilities — whether children or adults, boys or girls — face heightened risks of abuse due to communication barriers, social stigma, and lack of accessible support systems.
BSA strongly condemns these acts and calls for:
- Swift justice for survivors and accountability for perpetrators.
- Accessible medical, psychological, and legal support for victims and their families.
- Training for police, healthcare workers, and courts to handle cases involving persons with disabilities with sensitivity and urgency.
- Community awareness to break silence, challenge stigma, and ensure inclusion.
Disability is not weakness. Every child, whether deaf, blind, or living with any impairment, deserves dignity, safety, and respect. We stand with survivors and their families, and we urge authorities and society at large to act decisively against such violence.
